I graduated several years ago as a software developer; however, my real passion lies in the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the IT infrastructure. Since beginning by building my own computers at a young age, I’ve spent some 18 years in offices and server rooms ensuring networks are running smoothly, servers are secure, and backup systems are dependable.

The move to Cloud computing has made this area of IT more exciting (and more challenging) than ever, and at HBSE we are encouraged to learn new technologies and discover new ways to apply that knowledge.

There is no doubt that System Administration can be challenging as it encompasses a wide array of constantly changing technologies. I often find that solutions to problems present themselves to me at unexpected times , at weekends when I’m hiking in the mountains, swimming in the lakes, or just sitting next to the Rhein during my lunch break!

Outside IT my interests include travelling, watching movies, camping, and meeting up with friends.
